i have to disagree with all of that...
how do you explain two top 8 seasons with largely the same squad that nearly got relegated the season before but for worthington pulling us out the s**t much like roeder is now...And this money he spent.. we spent hardly any compared to some teams spend, every manager knew huckerby and crouch were available.. and any team could have raped wimbledon for francis. So he still had to get his men in, and lead them and play the right tactics. You w**k about how good svensson was.. who brought him in? everything good about that year was worthington inspired, he was great for us... it fall apart at the 4/5 year stage as it does for alot of managers. he left us better then when he toke over.. we had players like earnshaw, huckerby,etuhu..a bigger, better and more importantly full stadium. something we could only dream of under hamilton.

- Release clauses (NCFC) - Cannydc, Feb 5, 13:05:49
- And £1.5m was a very high release clause for Etuhu - more than 3x what we paid. (NCFC) - Ottosson Foxtrot, Feb 5, 13:07:58
- The problem about Etuhu, is it was obvious Grant spent the 2nd half of last season (NCFC) - pants, Feb 5, 13:09:19
- earnshaw and etuhu combined. (NCFC) - Alan, Feb 5, 13:13:10

- We wouldn't have got Etuhu or Earnshaw without the release clauses. (n/m) (NCFC) - Ottosson Foxtrot, Feb 5, 13:02:31
- So why punch above our weight spending 3.5m on something (NCFC) - pants, Feb 5, 13:07:28
