Loans
Whilst there have been some concerns expressed over the number of loans brought in, it seems to me that Roeder is simply taking advantage of the rules in a way which virtually every other industry does.
Short term contracts allow flexibility when it comes to hiring and firing and it would appear that he has enough good contacts to ensure that whats coming in is of sufficient quality.
Far better to test the water with some of these players than to shell out millions only to find that they don't quite stack-up. To do that would compromise the longer term future of the football club.
If Norris (for example) turns out to be anything other than the real deal, or gets injured, Ipswich will be stuck with him until a lower offer comes in.
Looking forward to seeing the new boys.
