^^^^^^^ is spot on.

All companies have a duty to train an develop their staff, or they do if they want to suceed.
Learning and development doesn't stop at school, first real job shapes an individual as much (if not more so) than their school years.
At least thats' how I view my role, and I'm lucky enough to have superiors that share that view.
