Great post Creo

This exactly the sort of thing the scheme needs, and I agree entirely that a lot mroe thought and detail needs to be done on this.

Some people may not want to donate to FONCY as its a long term thing, this fund may take a while to see any reasonable total, but at least the aim is to get players for the first team.

Donating to FONCY may not see any benefit at all for 5-10 years, which will put some people off.

With the Share issue, yes that is an option, but its a big wedge up front (£100 last time) for the minimum amount.
A lot less people can afford that, plus its the club going begging directly, which I wouldn't be too pleased with.
THe difference with this is its an idea by a fan to give more money, on top of current levels, than the club basically saying "we are a little screwed and need more cash".
Plus agreeing to £5 a month is a lot easier than finding £100 from a single pay packet. THere's no way on gods earth I could do that now, I could probably lose £5 out of my 'spending money' each month though.

Regarding hte scheme itself, I suppose its a different point of view. I'm happy to support the principle on its merit with the caveat that a lot of issues need to be resolved and laid out in full before that support transfers into an actual Direct Debit.
Others may want to see these details in full before deciding either way, and that's fine.
