Criticisms of Spillane

are, of course, perfectly fair. Please don't trot out that old 'He's just a kid and we ruined Llewellyn with criticism' crap. Yes he's young, but so is Ched Evans. So is Theo Walcott. Warnock's got half a side full of kids storming up the bloody league!

The fact is that most of the kids who have come through our academy in recent years have been way below the required standard and anyone who watched Spillane last night (or at Burnley) will tell you he is not good enough. If someone tells you he played well (and that includes the Pink' Un reporter) they are either lying or are very poor judges. I'm sorry but there it is.

We must get rid of both Jarvises, Shackell and Spillane if we want to get better.

And Roeder will get rid of them. Because he is proving himself a shrewd judge and because, unlike some people on here, he isn't wallowing in pity for the previous generation of Canary youngsters who weren't good enough either.
