It's a matter of available and accessible material: you presumably have the accounts as a club member, but he's just a Newcastle fan who's started doing this in his spare time because his original analysis of Freddy Shepherd's staggering mismanagement proved so successful, was often used by the press, etc.

Cheers for your main point about comparison of directors' pay: I'll let him know. More generally though, I can never, ever understand why criticism on here of other people's work is often so negative, so snide, and why 'agendas' must always be looked for: is constructive criticism just too much to ask for?
