Craig Fleming said it all a few weeks back
Every few months another big character left - in the end the squad was timid, fragile and directionless.
It started with selling Malky - no a bad decision per se, but made to look terrible by the abject failure to replace him, both in terms of quality and presence.
The regime then went stale. Not Worthington's fault - the Board's. But there is no was they can be blamed for not giving him a season to turn it round again.
The crime was to keep him on in to last season, that is all.
