I would suggest that the oinly thing 'obvious'
about Mr Huckerby is his aversion to using his head to make contact with ball (it after all called 'football').
Even when he may appear dis- interested or de- motivated for much of a game he still retains the ability to make a pivotal contribution within a few exhilarating seconds, and that ability will only diminish as age creeps on....and then it wont' be the skill that's lost, just the swiftness of foot.......
However he did appear to miss out on the academy lessons on 'Heading the ball , Parts 1 - 5' - and his ability in this particular skill does remind me of my own schoolboy aversions of the activity...... cold wet ball hurtling towards me , nowhere to hide .... only option - close eyes tight ..... leap (not in the slightest 'salmon like' ) striaght in the air (thoughts "this is gonna hurt" racing through brain" ) ball whacking slap on the top of the head. One time in 60 it would look good the rest you would be seen for what you were........ that's Huckerby's heading that is.... but by God dont we forgive him for it.
