but if you're judging his current ability on this season's performances so far then forget it, for the reasons above.
Last season he missed pre season and it took him 2/3 months to get back to his best, then he was as quick and as good as he ever has been. And he will be again, if he's in a side which is doing OK.
He's not a natural relegation scrapper but if we're playing well and he gets a lot of the ball, watch out.
