I'll keep Cafe Theology in mind - cheers!

I'd like to get to know the key religious texts properly at some point, too - I used to knock about with some Christians in my school days so have a potted knowledge of the Old and New Testaments but would like to go back to them.

What I'm really interested in, though, is how Christianity established itself as Europe's main belief system - so more on the politics than the theology, I suppose (or in how theological doctrines became intertwined with political ones). If anything good comes to mind, do let me know - and good luck with the reply!
