the Police won't be interested

the way credit card fraud is dealt with has changed relatively recently (iirc)

whereas once it used to be the responsibility of each card holder to report each individual crime it is now the responsibility of the credit card company to do it, and if they report 100s each time that only gets recorded as one crime instead of the 100s of individual crimes that would've been reported previously
