How Long Before Rucksacks Are Banned?

Just thinking about it.

When the IRA threat in London was at its height, all of the litter bins disappeared from the streets and stations.

After Dunblane, anyone and everyone who owned a gun found that they were going to ba banned as well-the Olympic shooting squad still have to train in France!

I know its not comparable, but can you see some sort of legislation coming through with regard to baggage, its type, the possibility of searches and/or scans. The technology is there, is it going to be implemented?

And is anyone with a rucksack (self included!) going to think twice about rummaging through its contents -me, usually to find my keys or phone-when on the train or tube?
