yes, but it isn't HOOF by design

it's HOOF by default.

I don't think players are being asked to hoof it, it isn't a tactical philosophy of the manager. Our defenders are hoofing it because:

a) no-one in midfield makes themselves available for a short pass so the defenders have no choice but to play it over them

b) they aren't confident on the ball and so can't wait to get rid of it

mainly a) but a fair bit of b)
