We were s**t then and we would have continued to be s**t if we had kept Worthington (there was no indication to the contrary as far as I could see).

There is no direct causation between Worthington being sacked and the position we are in now, which has been caused by a combination of bad luck, wrong manager and an inability by our players to do the job for which they are paid.
