I really thought he had everything and to be fair so did sven as the youngster was second choice to becks.
To be fair though the recent demise of the national team can not be attributed to just becks or sven.
But it has to be questioned whether if Becks hadn't been dropped would he have gone to the states or would he had moved back to good old in-ger-land.
Also when people point to the bad times of sven riegn such as the n ireland game they forget that Sven was one of the most succesfull national managers for years.

But really even with all these factors if a side with the class of rooney, cole, gerrard, lamps etc cant beat macadonia and russia then we don't deserve to qualifiy
