Worthington had lost the fans and the players
The final performance against Burnley was a clear sign that Worthington had lost the players and the fans.
Things couldn't just be allowed to slip away but the board were short sited, unambitious and tight in their choice.
Appointing Grant was a huge footballing gamble but an easy financial decision.
