depression!

I have to say the way things are going at the minute make me more down than any of the times with worthy. I really am questioning the ambition right now. worthy may have ballsed up big time but at least we never really looked like relegation material. Look at the worthy signings compared to grants we were quick to critise the signing of etuhu but he turned good and made us £1m profit, Ashton made £4m, even hughes only made a small loss. He brought in huckerby, safri, etuhu, all for under £1m and he even mangaged to get us promoted (abeit partially flukey). Does anybody think that PG could ever achive this.

I dont think its entirely Grants fault. It is obvious that the board made more money available to worthy ( for example he was able to spend £3.5m of the ashton money straight away to buy earnie (and might I point out doomcaster you moaning old git pay his premiership wages), but grant is told he cant compete with other teams. Also what we though of worthy's reputation wasnt what players like Hucks, ashton, Helveg etc thought he had built enough reputation to attract players to norwich. A good manager attracts good players even if the club is les desirable. For example rednap at portsmouth, when he came they were nearly relagated and suddenly players wanted to come, all because of his reputation. Im sorry Grant but being unknown will not help when trying to sign the sharps, eastwoods and varneys of the devision.

enough rant. we need a well known manager soon and some backing from the board to change things around or next year we will be watching league 1 at carrow road.
