Well, in some respects, I like what Burnley have done so far this season
because, last season, from the end of November till mid march, they didn't win a game, yet they didn't panick and sack Cotteril
At one point, they were very close to the relegation zone, and really looked like there's wasn't a light at the end of the tunnel
They've stuck with him through all that, gone into this season and are steady away in 5th or 6th
I don't know how the fans were during this gap, but the board obviously stuck by Cotteril as a good coach/manager
I don't see what's so wrong in us doing so as well. I know you can say straight away "cos I know Grant is s**t", it looks like it at the moment, but you don't truely know that he is
There's not a great deal to lose or gain at this very moment. If we sack Grant, the next guy coming in could be under the same pressure immediately, then we have a situation where we look like a cut throat club, and a new manager is going to notice and feel that
Keep Grant and stay up, but have an awful season, then we can truely find out what he's about, think about sacking him then, and give someone else a go, going into next season
The decision to ditch Grant now and it have a good effect on the team, is very small in probability, and is more likely to have a destructive aftermath here
