I think Hucks up front in a 4-4-2 might work if...

a) the other striker was Big Dave (not the witless Brown or the midget Cureton)

b) we have a goalscoring midfielder on the pitch. Unfortunately Smith (hopefully - since I haven't seen him play) appears to be the only potential one in the squad, so we need him fit and up to speed quickly.

It's still a very narrow formation though. Only to be used away from home.
