I noticed a lot of overt policing in Turkey this year as well. Turk in a Merc told me that it was because they were worried bout impact on the tourist trade if Roger Raghead spurted the contents of his colon and intestines all over tourists. V sensible. Kind of stuffed with the time of year though due to school hollerdays, it's not the heat that bothers me just the rip off by airlines and accommodation which gets ramped the f**k up.
