All The Great Strikers Were/Are Selfish Bastards

Problem is, JC is a good one, but not a great one-the greats, a'la Rush, Shearer, Fowler, and now people like Drogba, Rooney etc tend -and I emphasise the word 'tend'-to put all of their fairly good, even their possible chances away nearly everytime.

I am glad JC has a selfish eye for goal and wants to score as many as possible. It has done well for him in the past, and certainly did last season. I wonder now if, even this early on, people are having doubts about Dave Striker and whether he is adapting as well to the pace and energy of the Englsih game as we'd have hoped, hence PG's seeming desperation for him to get his first goal.

I don't think PG should be slagging off the players quite as publicly as he does, but, then again, its great to have a manager who craves success and good performances every time and all the time, as he does.

Russell is looking to be a very good aquisition, anyone agree?
