... And good solid hard work can still take you somewhere too. But unfortunately, I think money's becoming more and more important: yes, we didn't succeed on the parachute payments, but it strikes me that all three of the sides we were battling against to stay up in 04/5 are better placed than us to return: all three have been in the top 6 since too, unlike us.

And that's just a reflection of the mismanagement under Worthy: it may have lasted only a year or so, but it'll probably take double that time to recover. This summer represents a step in the right direction - but not yet a giant leap.
