You're obviously far from convinced that Grant has moved the team/squad on from last season. Personally, I disagree somewhat. Not that I think we will breeze through this season or anything like that. However, the squad seems far more balanced than the one Worthy started with (indeed, the one he ended with too.) Yes, we still need a CB at the very least and perhaps cover at LB. But in the main I think Grant has addressed the major shortcomings and done so very well considering the budget constraints he is required to work within. I'm particularly impressed with his acquisition of Brellier, when those rumours first started I thought to myself "no chance, there'll be loads in for him" perhaps Duffy or Gunny played a big part in that one. Regardless, it was still a great capture.
I think we will compete this season, play-offs are the least we should be aiming for; automatic promotion is probably beyond the current squad but who knows? A couple of class captures in the next window and we just might surprise a lot of people this season.
