Duffy did defend the "back two"

stating that defending was a team job, and that goals conceded were not solely the fault of Doc/Shacks. He was also critical of the side's balance last season, and hoped that they had improved it.

It would appear he & Grant never even considered Jurgen as a c-b, as he referred to shacks/doc/dublin as being our three interchangeable centre-backs.

If Brellier does what Gary Holt did then our previously shaky defence might suddenly look stronger.
