We all knew then, surely, that it was a panic buy and the general shortcomings of Worthy's reign since promotion. Sure, the release clause comes as a bit of a shock; but one hopes that Grant will not be falling into the same traps. Indeed, he seems to have been fully aware that Earnie was leaving and has been searching for replacements since the end of the season. It's no coincidence that the transfers of Cureton and Earnshaw were announced at more or less the same time.
