If Grant had any doubts..
about what he is up against with this club then I think they have been dispelled by this latest debacle.
When we signed him, Earnshaw was desperate to get away from WBA and Robson. Therefore, to allow ourselves to be bullied into agreeing the activation clause at £3.5m was just plain amateurish. I want this lot of incompetents out of this club now. I am sick of the excuses and the whining when this player or that player doesn't sign for us.
We never had this problem before. Players don't want to come here because they simply don't see us as viable any longer. We have become a joke in the footballing community - Little old Norwich has never had more meaning.
I don't blame Earnshae for leaving. He probably waited to see what came through the door but decided to go for a better long term bet. His goals kept us out of trouble last season and we got lucky with Martin when he was injured. As things stand, we are looking at a struggle next season which just might be a blessing in disguise if it gets this naive Board off our backs. The fans deserve better but ultimately, we get the club we deserve.
