A friend (John) and I had just rolled out of a party very late and much the worse for wear. His car was outside, but we had planned to walk back to his place, which was only around a mile or so away.

On the spur of the moment, John decided to drive back to his house, but with the drivers seat lying back flat on the rear seats so he could not see out of the front or side windows. He was able do this as there was a problem with the adjustment of the drivers seat, and it could be set in a horizontal position as opposed to slightly leaning back.

I was in the front passenger seat directing him, by shouting left, right, brake, start etc and warning him of obstacles such as roundabouts traffic islands, and parked cars.

We got home safely.
