But that outlay on Earnie has already occured
with the Ashton money..which we didn't recieve all in one go anyway, plus we still had the parachute payment. The scenario now is very different, mid-table, no parachute payment and earnie the only saleable asset worth any big money. This is spending big funds which could bite the team later if promotion is not achieved.
