...that they had to change the way they played when RVN left -he was hardly a team player, just an out and out goal scorer- and it has benefitted them. My linking him with Earnie is extremely tenuous at best but demonstrates how a team with that sort of player has to make compromises with them in mind.
Real have hit it off with him in the team, I guess that they have more players to fit around him and make it work, where-as Man Utd, with the likes of Giggs, Scholes, Ronaldo etc found it more difficult.
As people have pointed out, when we had Hucks and Martin in attack last season when Earnie was out, we played well and got some good results.
