It's an alright idea in principle...

...national FA's have to agree to it though. Not sure I particularly like the idea of a non-league team having the opportunity to play at Europe's elite level.

It would be a better competition and probably bring back some interest if it got rid of the Champions League style and reverted more or less to it's original state, a straight two-legged ties, knock-out competition between Europe's best sides (I'd personally have no seeding, but there's no way G14 / UEFA etc. would sanction that!). Top four qualifying is a joke at the moment, so perhaps the top three - a straight knock-out would stop clubs raking in a guaranteed fortune year in year out.

Would also like to see the UEFA Cup back as it was, no pissy league system...it's a ridiculously thought-up scheme trying to offer clubs a pseudo-Champions League. It's not that, it was a decent European competition...shame it's not any more.
