He gives a bit of insight into how the tricks,hypnosis, etc work.

Mostly though he spends a lot of time debunking psychics, new age nitwits, religion, and less obvious targets like speed reading courses (Woody Allen quote 'I just speed read War and Peace. It's about some Russians.').

He's much wittier and self-deprecating in print than he is in person.
