I think the s**t has hit the fan when Mascherano tried to move to Liverpool and the Scousers couldn't get some information they thought they should have. There are also some rumours that they have bought Mascherano "outright" instead of the bizarre lend-lease thing West Ham did.

But yes, why has it taken the FA 6 months to get off their arses and look into it in the first place?
