Grant and his words of wisdom
Overall, so far, I am still reserving judgement on Grant. obviously, he has had a difficult job, and started really well then suffered since in terms of results.
For me, it is just his big mouth that has got in the way of him! First, slagging off the fans after 6 weeks in charge, but also he came in 1st week and said he would give the youngsters a chance. Eagle played a few games and now seems frozen out, and its only Martin, apart from that who has made 2 appearances (mainly, you would think, as a result of Earnie's injury). Cave-Brown, Fisk, Rossi Jarvis and Halliday have all gone out on loan whilst we have had injuries, suspensions and played players out of position. If these young players arent going to get a chance now, when are they? The situation of Spillane, for me, is the most bizarre, seems so highly rated but not a sniff under Grant.
Anyway, rant over...impressed with Fozzy and particularly Lappin yesterday, lets hope it is the start of a revival.
