Yep, couldn't agree more...

... The decline from the great player who behaved with such dignity and grace in the aftermath of the penalty shoot-out in Turin to the whining idiot and total laughing stock of 3 years later was stark indeed. Erich Ribbeck, the Bayern coach (another hated - or at least ridiculed figure where you are, BC?) who had an astoundingly incompetent period in charge of the national side, deployed our friend Lothar at sweeper: where he proceeded to play like a bumbling fool, while blaming everyone else.

And after we'd knocked them out, the man who'd later blame the German government for Croatia's humiliation of the European Champions at France 98 (because Germany had been the first country to recognise Croatian independence) proceeded to ridicule us and describe our tactics as 'primitive'. Er, so what did that say about your lot, pal?
