Doesn't seem to have been shot for pleasure, does it?
(Not that there's anything wrong with that.) A fox on a pheasant shoot gets shot in the same way that a mouse gets trapped in a cheese shop, or a mozzie gets squashed in your hotel room. It's a nuisance, get rid, is the only thought behind it.
