And you're right (above) that he would do away with aviation if he could. Thing is, the government bends over backwards to support the aviation industry (Heathrow Terminal 5, expansion at Stansted, all night flying) without much consideration for anything else whether it's global warming or the poor bastards who have to live under the flight paths.
