A true story
A friend of mine was born in Iran and came over to England with his family as a young boy.
The family were moving to Slough and when they drove towards their new town, Maz (for that is his name) confidently told his uncle, who was driving, to turn left.
"Slough is this way" he said.
The uncle was surprised at his nephew's certainty but having been a little unsure himself, decided to go with the boy's directions.
"Now right here" Maz continued. "Left here" etc etc for about 15 minutes.
The uncle then realised that they were now hopelessly lost.
"Why are you so sure?" he asked the boy. "This can't be the way!"
"Yes it is!" replied Maz. "Look the directions are on the road there.
"S - L - O - W.... Slough!"
