BDO v PDC

Once apon a time there was the BDO.

Winners were such like

Leighton Rees, John Lowe (3), Eric Bristow (5)
Jocky Wilson(2), Keith Deller, Bob Anderson, Steve Beaton , Richie Burnett, Dennis Preistly Phil Taylor (1991)

Then the big names split to the WDC then becomming the PDC.

The PDC has all the money, the sky coverage the big names and the glitz and Sid Waddell.
The original decision to split was the poor coverage that BBC were offering.

Now BBC are trying to big-up the BDO tournament which is like trying to microwave a 5 day old kebab.
It is dull and crap an boring. Barney probably wasted 2 more years than he needed before switching to the PDC. Taylor's 13 titles include 2 BDOs 90 and 91 I think.

This year there was a Norwich fan player (in Yella and Green) called Darren Webster.

Keith Deller (1983 Champ) and Kevin Painter (2006 Runner up) are both Scummers.
