...his value is set by the selling club, and they determine that by working out what profit they would receive while not dropping the club in deep s**t (at least that's how it normally works unless the player starts chucking his toys out of his pram).

Earnie being sold would be disastrous unless we make a huge profit, as it would also be the last of our players who actually has any market worth in order to generate transfer funds when required next season, when we have no parachute payment.
