you expect a new manager to bring about some improvement to a team irrespective of the quality of players he inherits. However, I am struggling to see ANY improvement under the new manager. The coaching seems no better than it ever was (we still have no idea how to defend), he doesn't seem to have brought any new ideas to freshen things up, he doesn't seem to be able to motivate players who need a rocket where the sun don't shine, team selection is often bewildering (dropping in-form players), strange substitutions (Thorne yesterday with three minutes left), tactics are a mystery to us and seemingly the players as well,(4 5 1 away from home irrespective of the quality of the opposition), the youngsters still sit on the bench, if they get that far and he seems to have blind faith in players all us amateur managers know just aren't good enough.
