why would we do that?

yes we'd lose money on the prachute payments. the board we know plan for the worst case scenarios, like no going up and we keeping earnshaw, the player will still be scoring goals, its not like we'll go bust if we dont go up this year, he is an asset worth at least 5million to us now or at the end of the season.
