If she agreed to pay you for the job before you carried it out and there was consideration, then you are eligible to be paid. (Lampley v braithwaite)

However if she agreed to pay you after the job was carried out then this is different. It all depends on wheher you were expected to carry out the job as part of a previous agreement. (Williams v Roffey,1990)

In case A you could get payment out of her through legal action, but in case B you could struggle against her in court.
