when i used to go in the late 80's
it was a mans day out. some used to take their sons, but i can't remember seeing many family's or girls. you had to get into the ground fairly early to get a good place to stand, and yes the atmosphere was great some games and s**te at others. most songs were directed towards the opposition fans, it was the era of coins being thrown every game, fans doing monkey chants and generally football grounds were hostile places.
in my opinion the atmosphere at carrow road these days is great compared to the late 80's early 90's
the atmosphere in the milk cup semis and final in 1985 was unforgatable, but the the atmosphere at cardiff was just the same
