Perhaps he should relate the fans to the Proclaimers

Imagine if he paid good money for a ticket to go see the band, then travelled 50 miles to the gig to see them put in awful performance (out of time, out of tune, short set, poor sound, grumpy with audience).

However, undettered, the following week the Proclaimers are playing in his home town, so once more he spends good money on a ticket only for teh same shambolic performance to be churned out.

Would he be happy? No, so why should us Norwich fans??

(By the way i am aware that the proclaimers are s**t)
