I Am Convinced That The Club Will "Let Him Go"

Have been for some time.

All the signs are there-Huckerby has repeatedly said how he loves the club, the area, how settled he is, how he has turned down moves in the past in order to stay, and how he would not be interested in playing his football anywhere else.

With that in mind, our wonderful board seems to be of the mind that thats just the sort of player we DON'T want at Norwich. Hm, contract ending, good opportunity to make all the right noises and say that we want him to stay, offer a contract that is worth a lot less than his current one ("...well, he is getting on, the parachute payments have ended you know, we have good young players coming through, including Paul McVeigh's son, we wanted Darren to stay SO much *sigh* but he decided to move on, so we had no alternative etc etc wish him all the best etc etc but hey, Andy Hughes has signed a new contract everyone...") so he has no option but to leave.

It should all have been done and dusted by now. Very worrying. I'm sure he's happy to take a drop, but if Hucks is happy to be realistic, then so should the board, if this is the case.

Hopefully it isn't and he will be signing-it might be such a formality that there simply is no need for fuss and a big rush-lets hope so, though I suspect the former is more likely.

Hope I'm wrong!
