OK here's what to do
Take three teaspoons of demerara sugar (important - granulated/caster sugar don't wkr) and a teaspoon of salt mixed in to 8 fluid ounces of boiled water that's just off the boil. Tip your computer forward and pour the fluid in at the back where the cables all come out.
If that doesn't do it, try a small lumphammer applied to the casing. Hit it n times, where n is a prime number between 10 and 20. Be sure to unplug it first as otherwise electricity could leak out onto your carpet.
