Why would the club interview for the assistant managers job....

That would be absolute lunacy, surely whoever eventually gets the managers job will appoint whoever he wants in conjunction with the club as his assistant.

I've heard some crap in my time but that tops it.

I mean I guess there's a slight chance Crook could get the assistants job, but talk about putting the cart before the horse (Enough about Rob Newman though!).
