And if your first reaction to abuse is to spit, then you have no place as a professional footballer. If he did that to someone in the street, he'd be done for a public order offence.

Why not just ignore it, or if he has to react, shout back.

All they said was "You're the worst player to ever play here".

I'm sure he's heard that before.
