Certainly put in more good performances on a more consistent level than any other player. Hardly his fault that he was carrying the rest of the defence as well.

And before you say it, yes I do go to the games (season ticket holder since 1992) and plenty of away games too (including the disasters at Luton and Reading).

As it happens, I didn't vote for the Doc because:

A) I knew he'd win it without my vote
B) I voted for McVeigh as he was excellent in nearly every game he played, which was very few - and I thought it would be a good 2-fingers to Worthy if the fans showed him that McVeigh really is worth a place in the side, which is how it turned out.
