Passion and motivation comes from the top

and the players have sensed for a long time now that the man at the top is a lame duck who will, at some point, be sacked. As soon as any group scents a weakness at the top they won't perform for them, in whatever walk of life.

The players know THEY won't get sacked, they'll keep getting paid and eventually a new manager will come in and they can start again.

Players like Mcveigh and Shacks have been publicly criticised so often that they can't have any warmth towards him.

And some of the other players must look at their manager and think - most of the fans and now even the Board seem to think you're a useless t**t so why should we listen to you?

Sack him now, win, lose or draw on Sunday.
